Luau Kalamaku

This authentic Hawaiian luau takes place at the historic Kilohana Plantation, conveniently located near Lihue. Immerse yourself in local island culture by visiting one of Kauai’s best luaus. Luau Kalamaku features the island’s largest cast of performers. Enjoy a variety of cultural presentations and activities prior to the big luau feast, including the traditional imu ceremony, which demonstrations how the ancient Hawaiians slow-roasted their foods in underground ovens.
Then sit down to a mouthwatering luau buffet dinner with a wide variety of tasty dishes to satisfy all tastes and appetites. The highlight of the evening is the luau show that follows dinner, which pays tribute to the ancient Polynesians who sailed across the South Pacific and ultimately arrived in Hawaii. Watch talented performers bring the history and beauty of Hawaii to life.

Please note: Luau Kalamaku also offers a Show Only option that has a 7 pm check-in time for just the luau show and includes any one beverage. Also, there is a Premium Gold Seating option that gets you seating in the front stage premium seating area.

Train ride: This optional activity takes place before the luau dinner. Enjoy a train ride through the 105 acres of the Kilohana Plantation. Drive by historic plantation homes and through a lowland forest and taro, pineapple and sugarcane fields. There will be a stop to fee the plantation’s herd of wild pigs, sheep and goats. You will also get to see their horses, cattle, clydesdales and donkeys.

5:25 pm: Four-course dinner at Gaylord's Restaurant featuring signature items
6:45 pm: Shopping at the galleries and boutiques inside the plantation home
7:05 pm: Torch lit walk to the Luau Pavilion & stop at the Mango Bar for a Mai Tai or glass of wine
7:30 pm: Premium reserved seating at Kalamaku, the luau show
